Candlestick Reading Intensive

A six-hour, small-group workshop for traders ready to move from pattern names to structured chart interpretation.

Printed market charts beside a notebook

The result: a chart note another person can follow

By the end of the day, you will be able to identify a formation, describe its market context, state what would confirm or invalidate your reading, and mark a sensible observation point. The aim is not faster clicking. It is clearer reasoning.

This intensive suits self-directed traders who already understand candles, timeframes, and basic order types. It does not cover brokerage setup, automated strategies, trade signals, or personalised investment recommendations.

What happens at the table

The morning begins with candle anatomy and the auction behind long bodies, shadows, gaps, and compressed ranges. We then compare hammers, shooting stars, engulfing patterns, harami, doji, and morning/evening star structures across different locations.

After lunch, each participant annotates a chart set. You will mark trend structure, nearby support or resistance, formation quality, confirmation, and invalidation. The instructor reviews one chart with you individually while the group completes a false-signal exercise.

Included

  • Printed workbook and twelve-chart practice set
  • Guided review of reversal and continuation formations
  • One individual chart critique
  • Coffee, water, and a light working lunch
  • A clean digital copy of the annotated answer set after the session

Instructor and setting

Sessions are led by Elena Cruz, a market education facilitator who has taught chart-reading workshops since 2018. Teaching examples use historical Philippine and international market charts. Classes take place at our Makati reading room, with no more than eight participants.

Prepare before attending

Bring a pencil, eraser, and one printed chart that has puzzled you. A laptop is optional. Please complete the short candle-anatomy refresher sent three days before the class. We teach analysis, not profit certainty; no setup guarantees a particular outcome.

Duration, rate, and next step

The intensive runs from 9:30 to 16:30, including a one-hour lunch. The rate is ₱5,800 per participant, with a ₱1,500 reservation deposit credited toward the balance. Choose a listed date or ask about your experience level.
